Hersh's Water Taxi is privately owned and operated. Operating for residents and guests of the Gulf Barrier Islands of Don Pedro, Knight, and Palm Islands, we form part of a unique island culture that these islands rely on for water taxi transport and ferries for its essential services.

Our extensive knowledge of local waters, an exemplary safety record, and fully licensed skippers who hold valid Coast Guard Certificates combine to provide the best water taxi and sunset/nature tour service on the Florida Gulf Coast.

We have regular water taxi service to the Rum Bay Restaurant on Palm Island from 12:00pm to 6:00pm seven days a week.  The cost of the round trip to Rum Bay Restaurant is $5.00. 

We also monitor the phone 24/7 for pick-ups or drop-offs including early morning or late night to Palm, Don Pedro and Knight Islands for residents and guests.  (941-270-0132)

Our water taxi drops you off and picks you up at Rum Bays dock.  Casual luncheon and dinner dining is available and also offers your favorite mixed drinks and an array of wine. Overlooking the beach and Gulf of Mexico, the restaurant is noted for its Baby Back Ribs, Blackened Grouper, Island Baked Scallops and Tempura Shrimp. Sandwiches and delicious finger foods are also available as is complete bar service.
